Communication Needs
Most people with ALS experience difficulty with speech and movement during the course of their illness. Some people living with ALS will completely lose their ability to speak and to control their movement. Other people may experience the loss of movement, but maintain their speech. Every individual’s disease progresses differently. The inability to speak can be frustrating and emotionally devastating. Thankfully there are many different communication devices on the market that can be of assistance.
