Volunteers support our mission by assisting with events, projects, and activities - helping to raise awareness and funding for the ALS community in Florida. We recognize the vital role volunteers play in helping us with our mission, and we're committed to ensuring involvement is positive, effective, and meaningful. We offer many different types of opportunities to get involved around the state and welcome all those who would like to participate!
EVENT VOLUNTEERS
Event volunteers assist for several hours at events of their choosing. Tasks include setting up and tearing down event sites, facilitating event registration, tabling, distributing materials, and other duties as determined by staff leading the event. Detailed job descriptions are communicated at the time of a volunteer's registration.
*Volunteers under age 18: Please reach out regarding opportunities for high school students/minors under the age of 18. Parents who bring minor children to volunteer will be asked to fill out a waiver.
Check our calendar HERE for upcoming opportunities near you. Reach out to the event contact to find out how you can help.
EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEERS
Many profit organizations offer funds/grants to The ALS Association Florida Chapter if you volunteer with us! Make sure to check with your company to see if your volunteer hours can qualify as fundraising efforts as well!
OTHER ROLES
There are other ways you can share your time administratively, advocating, and supporting care services. These opportunities may vary by location and needs within that community. Please complete a volunteer interest form to connect with someone from our volunteer engagement team.
