Medicare Advantage Plans in Massachusetts
Once a senior or a disabled person who receives Social Security benefits becomes eligible for Medicare, they may also choose to enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan in Massachusetts. The Leonard Florence Center for Living (LFCL) is unlike any other skilled nursing facility. With thirty rooms devoted to individuals diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and MS (multiple sclerosis), this award-winning specialized residence changes the way people are living with these diseases. As the first urban Green House® skilled nursing facility in the country, the Center sets the stage for a model of care far removed from traditional nursing homes. Today, the Leonard Florence Center takes care of more individuals living with ALS under one roof than any place else in the world. The ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter works directly with LFCL upon request to determine availability and coordinate placements for persons registered with our Chapter.
